About Graham Hunter
Graham Hunter, a passionate Dandies fan from Aberdeen, started in journalism in the mid 80’s working his way through writing football reports for the Sunday Mirror and Sunday Times before taking on a role at the Daily Mail.
In 2002 he relocated to Spain to cover Spanish football just in time to see the Spanish Golden Generation and Pep Guardiola’s unstoppable Barcelona, both of which he has literally written the book on!
In a bumper 2 hour interview Graham tells us some amazing stories from following Scotland in the 1982 World Cup, the cut-throat world of the London news rooms to how he got involved in movie making!
Scots Abroad interviews are available to listen on The Trampled Bet Podcast from all podcasting apps including Apple Podcasts. You can also find them on Spotify and YouTube. Each episode John Walker speaks to a Scottish sports person about their upbringing and career in Scotland. This is followed by discussing the reasons and decisions that led to them choosing to move outside the UK to further their career.
